5 December 2008: The innovative design and development of Sylvia Park shopping centre has been recognised for the second time this year with the awarding of a Merit Award at the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) Design and International Development Awards presented in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday this week.

14 November 2008: New Zealand's premier shopping centre Sylvia Park has joined the world's elite shopping destinations with a Gold Award for its Innovative Design and Development from the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC).

6 October 2009: Following on from the success of last year’s Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, Sylvia Park Shopping Centre is lining up again to support the campaign this October. With over two kilometres of ring road around the centre, Sylvia Park lends itself perfectly to run an event to form the longest conga line in New Zealand history.
